About Us

Alliance Française Macao (AFM) is a non-profit local organization created in 1987 by a small group of Macao leading figures, including Ms. Susana Chou (曹其真) and Dr. Jorge Neto Valente.
Alliance Francaise dedicates itself to promote and develop French culture and cross-cultural dialogues, through education programs and cultural activities.

Alliance Francaise Macao signed an agreement with Alliance Francaise Paris at its creation, therefore becoming part of a global network of 1,036 centers in 135 countries, on each inhabited continent.

Alliance Française or simply AF (The French Alliance), is an international organization created in Paris on 21 July 1883 by a group including the scientist Louis Pasteur, the diplomat Ferdinand de Lesseps, the writers Jules Verne, Ernest Renan, and the publisher Armand Colin.

Our Teachers

Our teachers are all graduated in "Teaching French as a Foreign Language". They are permanent resident of Macao or holder of a skilled Blue Card. They are all registered and approved by the education bureau of Macao, the DSEDJ.
